WHAT WE DO

Sports and Social

Every Rotaract club has a lively calendar of sporting and social activities enabling you to make new friends and discover your talents. With an emphasis on fun rather than athletic ability there are many opportunities to take part in sporting activities. No matter what level or ability you'll find like-minded people in Rotaract. There's also lots happening on the social side and all activities are organised by club members so that you can influence the events that take place.

Community

Community events are group-oriented to encourage working together as a team in a social atmosphere. There are many annual and regular events organised by the club, such as street collections, marshalling at charity events and producing the Talking Newspaper for the Blind. Additionally events are organised in response to a specific request for help such as decorating or gardening for those unable to do so themselves. If you've never done any community work before don't worry because above all the emphasis is fun and variety so that there's something to suit everybody.

Fundraising

Fundraising is fun with Rotaract, for example through organising events such as barn dances and race nights. Every year we raise over £1000 which we donate to local, national and international charities.

How much does joining Rotaract cost?

You are welcome to attend Rotaract as a visitor free of charge, so that if you decide Rotaract is not for you then there's nothing lost. On becoming a member a small annual fee is due (currently £15 a year). This is used for paying any club expenses etc.
